Heirlooms of Us is a visual love letter to the quiet strength, generational wisdom, and enduring spirit of the Black community. Through five intimate oil paintings, the series explores themes of nostalgia, friendship, loneliness, and perseverance — capturing the moments that often go unseen but are deeply felt. Each piece serves as a living heirloom, passing down the emotions, rituals, and relationships that shape our sense of identity and belonging. This body of work invites viewers to reflect on what we carry, what we leave behind, and the legacy we build in the spaces between.
